September 10th the weather in Goodlettsville Tennessee surprised even the meteorologist! We only had a brief shower with clouds keeping the hot sun away. The community banded together to show support for the event. the chamber of commerce that organized it, and all the businesses with booths.
Children and parents enjoyed games, balloon twisting, face painting, and browsing our selection of children's books. Our booth was crowded. In fact, we had a line all day long. I had lots of opportunities to talk with kids about the importance of reading and respecting all creatures while I was painting faces.
